Ingredients
4 to 6 whole cloves
1 cup (250 ml) of water
Optional:
½ teaspoon of honey or maple syrup
A slice of fresh ginger
A little lemon
Instructions*
Place the water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add the cloves (and ginger, if using).
Lower the heat and simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and strain into a cup.
Add honey or lemon, if desired.
Drink it hot.
How to use
Drink 1 cup per day, preferably in the morning or at night.
Do not exceed 1 to 2 cups per day.
Important notes
Avoid excessive use (cloves are strong).
Not recommended for pregnant women or people with stomach ulcers.
If you are taking medication, use sparingly.
