Japanese Ginger and Lemon Tea Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 fresh ginger root (approximately 5 cm)
2 organic lemons
2 teaspoons of Japanese green tea (optional)
1-2 teaspoons of honey (optional)
4 cups of water
Instructions:
Preparing the ginger:
Wash and peel the fresh ginger root.
Slice the ginger thinly or grate it to increase the surface area and release more flavor.
Preparing the lemons:
Wash the lemons thoroughly to remove any pesticide residue or wax.
Cut the lemons into thin slices or squeeze them for fresh juice.
Boil water:
Place the ginger slices in a pot with 4 cups of water.
Bring the water to a boil and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes to allow the ginger to release its beneficial compounds.
Add lemon and green tea:
Add the lemon slices to the ginger water.
If you'd like an extra boost of antioxidants, you can add 2 teaspoons of Japanese green tea. Let it steep for 2-3 minutes.
